This blog began when I road in the 2008 Scooter Cannonball Run, a coast to coast endurance event held every two years. I've continued using it for other long distance touring trips on the scooter.

NH Trip... Coming Up Quick.

A few more maintenance items left before the NH trip.

Replaced the rear Heidenau K66 snowtex two weeks ago. I am back to the Michelin Bopper on the rear and a K66 snowtex on the front. So far I like the combination and feel. My steering is still firm and the rear tracks straight in a hard stop. The K66 would grab and kick the rear left or right if you even slightly locked the brakes in rain. I will run the K66 in the front until Winter, then replace both front and rear with a new set of Snowtex tires.

Considering the purchase of a Garmin 276c and using the New Hampshire ride as a shake down run. Its an older unit, still available new and has the weather data I desire.

Been working on a route for the ride up, need to start on a route for the ride back this weekend.
